Bodies Without Organs is a series of wire contour figures. The figures take on form as if in movement or as if moving through a crowd. As such they are not always anatomically correct or even fully three dimensional — our perception of them is skewed. Further, some figures have been adorned or camouflaged with found or cheap materials. Through out these tableaux one thing remains constant: each figure contains or holds in themselves a shiny, golden center.

"Bodies Without Organs," is a phrase and idea taken from the writing of Deleuze and Guattari's A Thousand Plateaus. It often refers to ideas around a well-formed 'whole' as constructed from fully functional parts, but can also describe a relationship a person has to their literal body.
